Used to detect vandalism and assaults on pay phones
and other enclosures. The sensor responds to shock waves created
when enclosure is impacted or otherwise assulted by sounding a 115
decibel local alarm (for 6 seconds, with an auto reset). The self-contained
sensor is wired to a sounder and is battery operated. The sensor
and sounder mount easily inside the enclosure with specially formulated
3M tape.
Factory calibrated for sensitivity to deliver a high
level of accuracy. The sensor's advanced piezo- based technology
enables the sensor to discriminate between real attacks and sources
of nuisance alarms. No sensitivity adjustment in necessary.
Completely self-contained. The sensor is powered by
a lithium battery with an expected life of 10 years. The sounder
is powered by a long-lasting 9-volt battery which can provide 1,200
six-second alarms in a two-hour period. An easy-to-use battery tester
ensures the sounder is working properly. (Lithium cell and battery
included)
